Letter #22: Growing up, hurts.

Updated: Jan 10, 2020

I was wrong in my pyramid of priorities.

I was wrong in misunderstanding all those phrases.

I was wrong in giving more to those who gave me less.

I was wrong to not take care of those who loved me the most.

I was wrong in taking for granted the good things that I have.

I was wrong in focusing on things I do not own.

I was wrong in not being thankful every single day for the family that I have.

Many say: "growing up hurts"... however, just a few understand that at all.

Growing up is a process.

Growing up is realising that you will need to change

as soon as you think you have just created yourself.

However, growing up does not come hand in hand with birthdays though...

Growing up comes when we reflect about our actions and thoughts.

Growing up is understanding that no matter how much we don't want to,

sometimes we can also hurt.

Growing up is listening to people who have always taken care of you.

Growing up is accepting that sometimes you are going to be wrong.

Growing up is facing the fact that as toxic people we can also act.

However, to grow up is to make the decision to leave those attitudes behind.

Growing up hurts, but it is better to do so.
